SUZANNE M. LACHMAN

After retiring as a special educator several years ago, I returned to a lifelong love: painting. Painting has always been an avenue of expression that has become a passionate pursuit in retirement. Working alongside other artists in the Artistic Visions Studio helps me to explore the beauty and range of techniques with the oil and acrylic mediums. I find it tremendously exciting and transformational to combine my love for a beautiful land- or seascape with my desire to paint. I especially enjoy painting scenes from photographs I have taken on my many walks through gardens, trips to the beach, or from her various travels throughout the countryside and forests—all of which provide much inspiration for my work.
A graduate of Binghamton University, SUNY Cortland, and SUNY Geneseo, I am currently a member of the Artistic Visions Studio, the Tioga Arts Council, the Broome County Arts Council. I am also a supporting member of the Cooperative Gallery 213 in Binghamton, New York.
