I am a retired commercial artist who is now part of The Walk-Up Gallery & Studio Space at Tioga Arts Council. For over 20 years, I have enjoyed painting hundreds of scenes, in oils and acrylics, that celebrate Owego, Tioga County, and upstate New York.

I am humbled and honored to be affectionately known as “Owego’s Norman Rockwell;” to have a youth scholarship, Robert Merwin Family Fine Arts Scholarship, given in my name; and to have Tioga County recognize November 18 as “Robert Merwin Day.”
