OUR GREEN ACRES

What started as a simple ploy to keep the kids out of trouble escalated into a full time multi-faceted farm business.

We planted a few strawberries and a bit of sweet corn in the 1960s, and added acres and crops as our kids grew older. We set up a farm stand, offered U-pick, and started going to farmers markets. Our farm stood us in good stead through six high school and college educations , and soon the kids were launched out on their own—time to buy more machinery to be more labor efficient!

Today our farm depends on our good employees and the experience of decades of growing veggies and berries in the southern tier.
